This Sunday at New Life!

This Sunday brings the conclusion of our first "Back to Basics" series of 2008--Generous Giving.  The message title is Where Your Treasure Is... I hope you'll join us as we look at the ETERNAL implications of giving in our lives.  Jesus made it clear that our hearts will follow our treasure--both in this life and for eternity.  Where is your heart leaning?  How do we ensure that it leans toward Jesus?  Be there Sunday at 10:00 a.m. as we find out!

This Sunday at New Life!

You'll want to join us on Sunday as we continue our "Back to Basics" series titled Generous Giving! This Sunday the focus moves to "being rich in good works," or giving generously of our TIME!  It's often been said that the true measure of a person's priorities in life can be seen by taking a look at his calendar and check book register.  The people, places and events in which we invest our time and money ARE the priorities of our lives, regardless of what we may say.  Join us as we dig into 1 Timothy 6:17-19 again, and see God's plan for using our time and money to bring Him glory and show others His goodness!

This Sunday at New Life!

You'll want to join us on Sunday at 10:00 a.m for sure as we continue our Back to Basics series: Generous Giving!  The message focuses on trusting in God rather than riches.  Jesus reminded us that we cannot serve two masters, and that the chief rival god in our lives is money.  Using an unusual illustration, we'll emphasize the importance of leaning on God and not on our "stack."  So, plan to BE THERE for sure!

This Sunday at New Life!

Join us on Sunday as we look at some of Jesus' most challenging words:   "Not everyone who says, 'Lord, Lord!' will enter the kingdom of heaven..."  The message title is "Talk is Cheap..." and we're going to consider the vital importance of ACTION in our lives as followers of Jesus.  As we continue our "Back to Basics" theme, nothing is more basic to us as Jesus' followers than DOING what He tells us to do!  I hope you'll be there Sunday!

This Sunday at New Life!

Join us Sunday as we continue our series "Preparing the Way for Jesus!" by investigating the role of shepherds in Jesus coming.  The message is titled, "Unlikely Messengers!" and emphasizes both the unlikely nature of shepherds being the first earthly heralds of Jesus' birth, as the great difference between Jesus first coming--as an infant in Bethlehem and HIs second coming, which we all await.  Come and be part of preparing the way for Jesus!

This Sunday at New Life!

I hope you'll join us this Sunday as we start our Christmas series at New Life!  It's titled, "Preparing the Way for Jesus," and this Sunday's message is titled, "Ready or Not...!"  Are you ready for the Christmas season?  Are you ready to prepare the way for Jesus---not only in your own life, but in the lives of those around us who don't know Jesus as Savior and Lord? This series is designed to help and challenge us to recognize that Jesus HAS come and that He IS coming.  When He comes again it won't be as a baby in a manger, but as the Lord of the Harvest!  While we'll be focusing on all the texts that record Jesus' first coming, we'll be looking at how that coming is our foundation for preparing the way for His coming again.

See you Sunday---and bring a friend!

This Sunday at New Life!

Hi Everyone!  I hope you'll complete your Thanksgiving holiday by joining us Sunday as we conclude our 40 Days of Gratitude with "Grateful for a Family of Faith!"  One of the greatest blessings of our lives is having brothers and sisters in Jesus who worship, fellowship, learn and serve together in Jesus' name. Here at New Life it is our goal to be such a family. If you're looking for a church home, we'd love to have you join us THIS SUNDAY!

This Sunday at New Life!

Join us Sunday as our focus will be "ALWAYS Give Thanks!"  In his first letter to the Christians at Thessalonica, the Apostle Paul closed with four commands that call us to ALWAYS do three things and never do one.  The three things we're always to do are 1) ALWAYS rejoice!; 2) ALWAYS pray! and; 3) ALWAYS give thanks!  The one thing we're never supposed to do is NEVER quench the Holy Spirit.

As we bring our 40 Days of Gratitude series to the "home stretch," what better time than the week of THANKSGIVING to remind ourselves that because of God's abundant blessings in our lives that it is ALWAYS time to give thanks!  Bring a friend and BE THERE at 10:00 a.m this Sunday.   (REMEMBER: we're moving across the street to the South Butler Primary Center multi-purpose room this Sunday!!!)

This Sunday at New Life!

Overflowing Gratitude!  That will be the focus this Sunday as we move to the fourth week of our 40 Days fo Gratitude series.  Today marks the halfway point of our 40 days, and I can say that in my own daily living, I'm noticing more gratitude for so many things!  Colossians 2:6-12 forms the basis for this week's message, particularly Paul's key statement:  Let your lives overflow with thanksgiving for all he (Jesus) has done.  Have you stopped today to thank Jesus for all He has done?  Have you taken time to notice all the blessings you have received from His hand?  Why not take some time RIGHT NOW to do just that?

I hope you'll join us this Sunday as we celebrate God's presence in our lives, and continue to see how many reasons we have for saying, "THANK YOU!" for all He has done and is doing among us!  See you there!

This Sunday at New Life!

Join us this Sunday as we take a look at being "Grateful for a Transformed Life!"  One of the most amazing realities of following Jesus Christ is that day-by-day we can become more and more like Him!  The Apostle Paul's letter to the Ephesians, chapter 5:1-20  will provide the text for our in depth investigation into HOW we can become more like Jesus every day, and WHY we must remember to THANK HIM for it.  We hope you'll come to New Life and bring a friend.  (We're easy to find--just come to the Knoch High School auditorium at 10:00 a.m.!  For directions go to New Life.)
