Have you seen this interview with Troy Polamalu? Some of the video is cut off--it's scenes of him playing in games, but the interview itself makes it clear that Troy's life focus is not football, but pleasing God!
I'm passionate about Jesus, devoted to Nancy, Abby and Emmy, and live to see others know Jesus!
he is a humble warrior for god first, family 2nd, and steelers the 3rd

Polamalu is a living testament to Orthodox Christianity. May God bless him and his family!

Hi I use to watch the 500 Club without fail. I stopped because it was evident to me you did not tolerate other religions. Often times you said it.
Now I wonder if all of the sections that were not available for webcasting mention his faith is Greek Orthodox. Although I am not Greek Orthodox, I have never heard or read an interview that Troy gave where he failed to mention his wife Theadora being a Greek Orthodox which and this is how he came to know and love that faith.. Even his expression are what he has learned through the Greek Church.

Dear Mary,
I don’t represent the 700 Club, but the sections in the interview that weren’t available for webcasting were pictures of Troy tackling people during Steeler games. I think they weren’t available to view because they are the property of the NFL.
I posted the interview, because I thought it represents how a man who is highly respected for his football skills actually has much higher and important priorities.
When you say that I don’t tolerate other religions, I want to comment on that: All people who have a faith in Jesus Christ are part of the family of God, regardless of the denomination or non-denomination to which they belong. As far as “other religions,” which for me would mean non-Christian religions such as Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, etc…., I certainly “tolerate” them, which is to say that I believe folks have the right to believe what they want to believe. However, I do not believe that people of other religions or atheists are going to receive the ultimate blessing of being with Jesus in heaven for eternity. Since Jesus told us that He is the way and the truth and the life and that no one comes to the Father except through Him, and since I believe that Jesus is God in the flesh, that is my understanding of Jesus’ importance and primacy in the matter of faith. I have traveled to China, Singapore, Cambodia, Mexico and other places as well as living daily in the name of Jesus here in western PA, and my goal is always to represent Jesus with love, and to show others through my words and actions that His ways are God’s ways. Some have watched and listened and come to know Jesus, others have retained their original point of view. Either way God loves them, and desires them to be with Him for eternity, so I continue to seek to reflect the life of Jesus in my life daily.
Thank you for your comments!
Grace and peace,
