Three Days and Counting...

Those of you who are on board for the fast are coming to the end of day three!  How has God been working in your life?  I've been noticing that I'm more "tuned in" today.  In my Bible reading, it seemed that the narrative was more alive than usual.  In my prayer times, the sense of God's presence was stronger.  For example, when I was going through my usual list of folks that I lift up in prayer for healing, it seemed that each prayer was more "tangible" as I raised it.  It's hard to explain exactly.

Another thing that I've been noticing today is that I feel better physically.  The hunger pangs have been lessening (and I have been eating a little bit of fruit, and drinking some juice in addition to water, so it hasn't been a "normal" fast as we've defined it, but I've noticed a little more ease in normal activities such as bending over to tie my shoes, and even during my daily walk with Champ this morning, my joints felt better.  Have any of you been noticing any of these kinds of things?  I'll close this post, because I want to enter a major answer to prayer in the next one!

It's day 3 for me as well, Pastor Chris. Even though I work a full time job & have church responsibilities, the prayer time that is allowed for me has been fruitful. As you mentioned in your post, the time I spend each day praying for other has intensified. It has become more tangible. Also, God's revelation to me has become more crystalized as to the vision He has for my life and my church.
Praise God for these times where we can truly enter into & enjoy His presence!
